Larsen Supports Commitment to Indo-Pacific Partners

WASHINGTON, D.C.  – Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-02) released the below statement after voting to strengthen security in the Indo-Pacific region:

“This legislation invests in strengthening the U.S. commitment to Indo-Pacific security and ensures allies and partners in the region know their security is tied to U.S. security. I will also continue to support a robust economic and diplomatic agenda that demonstrates U.S. commitment to the Indo-Pacific region.”

The Indo-Pacific Security Supplemental Appropriations Act funds submarine infrastructure, extends military financing available for partners, replenishes U.S. stockpiles and strengthens U.S. capabilities in the region. The bill passed the House by a vote of 385 to 34 with one member voting present and now moves to the Senate for consideration.
