Larsen Presses White House, Congress for Long-Term Budget Solution

Today, U.S. Representative Rick Larsen (WA-02), released the following statement after voting against H.J. Res. 48, a short-term Continuing Resolution to fund government operations through April 8th.

“It is past time for the White House and Congress to come together and create a bipartisan long-term budget that will foster economic growth and job creation while tackling our debt and deficit.

“We can not continue to ignore our growing debt and deficit problem by passing these short-term spending band-aids every two weeks.

“The time to have a bipartisan conversation about government spending and our exploding debt and deficit problem is now; not in another three weeks, or three weeks after that, but now.
