BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- A Washington State representative is planning to reveal new legislation that he says will keep Washington’s job market growing for years to come.

U.S. Rep. Rick Larson has introduced a bill that would keep in place a 20-year-old pilot program designed to grow American jobs through foreign investment.

The program is set to expire next September, but David Anderson of the Association to Invest In America says continuing the program would have long-term benefits…

Anderson says if the program is allowed to expire, hundreds of thousands of potential jobs will be lost, as well as $10-billion in foreign investment over the next five years.

Larsen plans to present his new legislation to the public at the Hotel Bellwether in Bellingham at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8.
