OLYMPIA, WASH. – Congressman Rick Larsen and Senator Maria Cantwell want answers about an incident where a United Airlines passenger was dragged from his seat.
They sent letters to Untied CEO Oscar Munoze, who’s already apologized and promised to release the results of an internal investigation by the end of the month.
The founder of a group called “Airline Passenger Rights,” Gabor Lukasc say if you fly, have your phone ready to record just in case something like this happens again.
Lukasc says the airlines have crossed a line.
“Now people have a far better understanding of the impact of what the airlines are doing upon the average traveler,” Lukasc says.
Calls are being made for a boycott of United Airlines after the incident Sunday night where a 69-year-old doctor was dragged screaming from his seat to make room for United crew members.
