Larsen Praises Senate for Approving Repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell
Washington, DC,
December 20, 2010
Today, Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-02), a member of the House Armed Services Committee, praised the Senate for voting to repeal Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. The U.S. House of Representatives passed repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell last week. It will now go to the President’s desk to be signed into law. “Today is a victory for our national security, our military readiness, and all men and women who want to serve our country. “The House and Senate have both finally agreed: all qualified men and women who are willing to put their lives on the line to fight for our country should be allowed to volunteer for our military. “I look forward to President Obama signing this into law, so the Pentagon can move forward with implementing repeal in a responsible way that will not threaten our military readiness.” ### |
