U.S. Representative Rick Larsen (WA-02) today congratulated Orcas Island and Arlington airports for receiving grants from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). According the FAA, the Port of Orcas will receive over $260,000 to increase safety and improve operations at the Orcas Island Airport by rehabilitating the existing apron pavement. The City of Arlington will receive over $369,000 to enable the airport to control land use within the runway protection zone. “These airports are driving economic growth in our communities and I’m pleased that Arlington and Orcas Island will receive this critical funding to help them grow and thrive,” said Larsen. “Investing in our local airports will help support good jobs and keep our economy moving.” ### |
