Washington, DC,
February 3, 2012
Rep. Rick Larsen, WA-02, issued the following statement today after the Senate passed the STOCK Act. The bill, which Larsen is co-sponsoring in the House, would ban insider trading by members of Congress, administration officials and others who are privy to confidential information on companies because of their work. “I applaud the Senate for passing a strong bill to prevent members of Congress and administration officials from trading stocks based on confidential information,” Larsen said. “I am a co-sponsor of the House version of this bill, and I look forward to taking up and passing this bill next week.” |
