Larsen Announces Grant to Improve Safety at Arlington Municipal Airport

Washington, DC, June 4, 2012

Rep. Rick Larsen, WA-02, today announced that the city of Arlington will receive a $194,635 grant for safety enhancements at Arlington Municipal Airport. The Federal Aviation Administration grant will be used to purchase an emergency generator and additional land to improve runway approach safety.

“This investment in Arlington Municipal Airport will improve safety for pilots, passengers and Arlington residents,” Larsen said. “Smart investments in our transportation infrastructure like this create jobs, improve safety, and provide the base for future economic growth. I am fighting for robust transportation funding so we can continue investing in projects like this that improve our community.”
