Larsen Announces $2.8 Million Grant for Bellingham International Airport Rehabilitation

Washington, DC, June 7, 2012

Rep. Rick Larsen, WA-02, today announced a $2,851,514 federal grant to rehabilitate Bellingham International Airport’s ramp and aircraft parking area. The Federal Aviation Administration grant will be awarded to the Port of Bellingham.

“This investment in Bellingham International Airport will create jobs and help keep Whatcom County moving,” Larsen said. “Smart investments in our transportation infrastructure like this create jobs, improve safety, and provide the base for future economic growth. I am fighting for a robust transportation funding so we can continue investing in projects like this that create jobs and improve our community.”
