Rep. Rick Larsen, WA-02, issued the following statement today following reports that Republicans will insist on repealing the Affordable Care Act in order to keep the government operating after Sept. 30, a tactic which the New York Times says will “all but [ensure] that much of the government will shut down.”

“Over the last three years, Republicans in Congress have shown they are incompetent at governing. So now they have decided to give up trying. We are two days away from a Republican shutdown. Instead of working across the aisle to come to an agreement, House Republicans are locking arms and running full speed ahead to failure.”
