Residents of Washington’s Second District can order U.S. flags through my office. At this time flag requests are not being processed due to a lapse in funding, but you can send my office an email at rick.larsen@mail.house.gov with your request and contact information and we will ensure the request is processed in a timely fashion once the lapse in appropriations has ended.

Care of the Flag

Most outdoor flags can be washed in mild detergent and thoroughly rinsed. Indoor and parade flags should be dry-cleaned. Damaged flags can be repaired and utilized as long as the overall dimensions are not noticeably altered. American Legion Posts and local governments often have facilities to dispose of unserviceable flags. Store your flag in a clean, well ventilated area.
