Rep. Rick Larsen toured the new WorkSource Lynnwood on June 30. WorkSource Lynnwood, which opened in April, is a comprehensive one-stop-shop offering job seekers training opportunities, placement assistance and access to employment resources. Larsen supports legislation to increase job training opportunities for both youth and adults and also supports legislation to encourage more women and minorities to enter STEM fields.

State agency offers workshop in Everett about worker’s comp

Business owners are invited to attend What Employers Don’t Know — a free workshop about worker’s compensation premiums and safety program setup. The event is 9:30 to 11 a.m. July 21 at the Everett Labor and Industries Office, 729 100th Ave. SE, near the Everett Mall. Sign up for Easter Seals Charity Golf Tournament

The start time is 12:30 p.m. for the 11th annual Easter Seals Charity Golf Tournament & Auction on Aug. 18 at Echo Falls Golf & Country Club. It is a scramble format with teams of four players.
