WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-02) applauded the announcement of a pair of historic collective bargaining agreements to guarantee equal pay for the United States Women’s National Soccer Team (USWNT) and the United States Men’s National Soccer Team (USMNT).

“United States Women’s National Team athletes deserve equal pay for equal work. Today’s announcement marks overdue progress toward equal pay,” said Larsen. “As an avid soccer fan and a member of Congress, I will continue working to end pay disparities on and off the pitch.”

Under the agreements, which run through 2028, both the USWNT and USMNT receive identical compensation for all competitions, including the FIFA World Cup, and an identical commercial revenue sharing mechanism. For more information on the collective bargaining agreements, click here.
