Today, Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-02) released the following statement:

“In word and in action, the United States must continue to stand with Ukraine. I don’t care what President Trump says – Putin started this war and yesterday's meeting was not in the U.S. national interest. Trump is rewarding Putin for the war he started and his continued attacks on civilians.

"The crisis is not over until Ukrainians have a seat at the table and the freedom to choose their own future. President Zelenskyy has consistently stood up to Russian aggression and fought for a free Ukraine, and I am glad that he will come to D.C. next week to continue negotiations.

"Now is the time for the U.S. to recommit to Ukraine’s defense and support our Ukrainian friends and neighbors here at home.”

Rep. Larsen is a member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA), an organization made up of delegates from all 32 NATO member countries with a mission to engage parliamentarians in transatlantic security issues.
