Larsen Announces $37,766,854 in Recommended Funding to Combat Climate Change, Create Green Jobs in Northwest Washington

Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-02) announced the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has recommended $37,766,854 to be awarded to eight high-impact projects that support Northwest Washington coastal communities in their efforts to combat climate change. The awards are recommended under NOAA’s Climate-Ready Coasts initiative, which is funded through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law with additional funds leveraged from the Inflation Reduction Act.

Larsen Honors Everett Police Officer Dan Rocha During Transportation & Infrastructure Committee Hearing

Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-02) honored Everett Police Officer Dan Rocha during a full House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee hearing. Officer Rocha was killed in the line of duty while responding to an incident near Everett Community College on March 25, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Kelli; his two young sons, Thomas and Harrison; and a large extended family.

Larsen and Veasey Reintroduce Bill to Fight Discriminatory Voter ID Laws

Rick Larsen (WA-02) and Marc Veasey (TX-33) recently reintroduced the America Votes Act to protect U.S. citizens who face disenfranchisement because of restrictive voter identification (ID) laws. In 2021, Larsen and Veasey included the bill in the House-passed For The People Act, which did not receive a vote in the Senate last Congress.
